My name is Sarah and I am about to start the last week of my 20 year nursing career after which I will give up looking after humans and start walking dogs. It is a shame that I have decided to leave the NHS after such a long time but I felt now was the right time to try something new and with my love of dogs this felt like the right thing to do at the right time.
I am new to everything about setting up a business. So far I have bought a van with room for 3 dogs and also created a logo and a website. Just ordered my logo to be attached to merchandise so by the end of next week I will have car signs, business cards, leaflets, polo shirts and bags with the DogStar logo on. All very exciting!
Didn't know I would have to wait for the website to be indexed by Google so at this time I think the website is up and limping rather than running. I will be tweeting, blogging, facebooking, instagramming and maybe even youtubeing whilst trying to work out how SEOs work. A far cry from wandering the hospital corridors talking about the plight of the NHS and one that I am loving at the moment.
Got my first two walking companions signed up this week too so all in all it feels a little less daunting now than it did a few months ago.
